Yorkshire dales magic. Positive: Lovely room in one of the most picturesque parts of the world. Charming village in the heart of Wensleydale; perfect balance of access to countryside, great hospitality, and dales quietude.

A fabulous place to stay in a beautiful village! Positive: Always wanted to stay here due to the link to All Creatures Great & Small and it did not disappoint! Askrigg is a lovely village. The Herriot Suite has everything you need, lovely decor, fully equipped kitchen and the bonus of the best bakery directly opposite for those days when you don’t want to make your own breakfast or lunch! New owner made our stay by taking the time to chat to us and show us around the house. Great communication from start to finish which puts you at ease before arrival and throughout your stay. Just remember to note what they advise within pre arrival emails, download everything you need to access the house before you set off as the signal is poor or non existent until you log onto the Skeldale House WiFi (excellent WiFi) so be prepared and maybe screen shot the access code when received.
